What We Do

Spay
Our dream is zero strays in the most humane ways. We practice TNR – Trap Neuter Return. Mostly we rely on our feeders to do this as they are the ones who know the animals, we help provide subsidies and other assistance as best we can.
Ideally, we need our own vet clinic but as an NGO we can’t. However if there are any vets out there who want to do this please contact us!
We don’t adopt to people who won’t neuter, there are too many homeless babies who are dying on the streets please don’t purposely make more.
Neutering also prevents cancers and pyometra a life threatening infection of the uterus.
We have neutering programmes and packages on going every day. Our feeders contact us with relevant information and are given special neutering codes. We send out our guideline to those who enquire what to do and pretty soon new people get the hang of it and which package and vet to choose.
We work with vets and try to get the best possible prices through our name. These are called charity prices and are already a huge help. On top of this we further subsidise for our feeders and when we can we extend to members of the public. Subsidies change depending on our fund situation. When we have funds we give them away after paying our fixed bills. We convene with our committee at regular intervals and assess our situation and then ascertain what subsidy we can afford per animal. For our feeders they get unlimited subsidies and excess goes out to members of the public. When our funds no longer allow we have to freeze all subsidies until enough has been raised so donations are of the utmost importance for us to be able to encourage and give incentives to help neuter as many as possible.
Adopt
To save a life -adopt!
We work with and guide those who find abandoned or homeless animals. Once in foster care, we can help get them adopted. All animals once in foster care or paid home boarding can enter our adoption programme where we record and guide on quarantine protocols. We have a mandatory 3-week quarantine period after which they are vaccinated when of age, weight and healthy.
We ask all adopters to promise to keep for life no matter what and also to neuter and keep up with vaccinations.

Manage
When we run our own projects such as TNR or a mission to help a certain group of animals in imminent danger this comes under Manage. We manage the projects ourselves, keep records and raise funds or are given funds for them for example Hillside TNR Project, Perak Road Demo and Project Seri Delima.
Assist
This covers the guidance that we give to others but are not running the project or activity ourselves such as the TNR cat condo guide, we are not the ones doing the physical requirements but are available for guidance or assistance at any time.
This also includes the daily calls for advice on all matters to do with strays. This can range from queries regarding neutering to calls at 1 am helping advise what to do when a rescued cat is giving birth. This also includes calls assisting frantic feeders to various condos who threaten to rid themselves of cats.
