Once upon a time...
SAMA was registered with the Registrar of Societies Malaysia in 2020 during the global Covid19 pandemic. We knew stray animals would need us most at this time and we helped feeders get food to the homeless.
SAMA’s goal is zero strays in the most humane ways. We are not a rescue we will guide you what to do if you find an injured or abandoned animal and advise on any matter to do with strays. Our direction is to work together with communities to champion low-cost spaying and neutering programmes. SAMA has established itself as a resource for the many dedicated caregivers of strays in the various communities, other non profit groups and volunteers – focused of driving change and accelerating protection and well being for strays within the communities we live in.
So far to date and through us since our inception over 1700 animals have been neutered and we have reached our 1000th adoption! 1002 including one rabbit!

The Story Behind Our Logo
SAMA is presented as a mirror reflection to represent the cooperative spirit bersama-sama among all members in carrying out our objectives
- The heart shaped within the word SAMA represents the loving-kindness the Society will encourage people to nurture towards all animals.
- Two dogs and two cats represent the animal world the society strives to help within our abilities.
- The colours blue and green represent the universal colours of the Earth.
- The colour white represents our sincerity in the pursuit of our objectives

Our logo was chosen carefully and we feel proud as it is all that we are and endeavour to be. The word SAMA is a Malaysian word which has a friendly warm energy so typical of the people in this land, it is light hearted and yet powerful as it represents togetherness and unity.
